ITP-TOEFL
What is an ITP-TOEFL test?
ITP-TOEFL stands for Institutional Testing Programme - Test Of English as a Foreign Language. The results of this test are only valid at (most) faculties of Erasmus University Rotterdam. For some faculties and for universities abroad you are requested to take an official TOEFL-test. Please inform at your faculty which test is required!
You can use your test result to show that your language level is sufficient to be accepted into a degree programme that is taught in English, or to go on an exchange programme.
The ITP-TOEFL is a multiple choice test consisting of the following parts:
- Listening comprehension
- Grammar and writing skills
- Reading comprehension
The ITP-TOEFL test is organised every month by the Language & Training Centre (more frequently if necessary, depending on demand).
When is the next ITP-TOEFL test?
- Thursday 23 May 2013 from 13.00-15.30 hrs, deadline of enrolment Tuesday 7 May 2013 FULLY BOOKED
- Tuesday 4 June 2013 from 13.00-15.30 hrs, deadline of enrolment Monday 20 May 2013 FULLY BOOKED
- Monday 10 June 10 June from 13.00-15.30 hrs, deadline of enrolment Sunday 26 May 2013
When the test is fully booked, new dates will be added.
The official TOEFL test
Some faculties at Erasmus University (i.e. Erasmus School of Economics) or universities abroad do not accept the ITP-TOEFL test, but only the result of an official TOEFL test. There are two types of official TOEFL test:
- Internet-based
- Paper-based
The Language and Training Centre does not offer these offical TOEFL test. For more information about the official TOEFL test and your closest test centre please visit www.toefl.org.
