Knowledge with impact
At Aequitas, we combine fundamental and applied research to gain insight into what makes a sustainable economy successful.
An example of fundamental research is the multi-year project "The Reformation of Economic Thought." In collaboration with the Free University of Amsterdam and Utrecht Theological University, researchers explore how philosophical traditions have shaped economic models. This research offers valuable insights into the influence of philosophical traditions on economic models, laying a foundation for future innovations in sustainable economic thinking.
In the field of practice-oriented research, studies include Meaningful Work and People-Oriented Entrepreneurship. International surveys show that many employees experience their jobs as meaningless. Why do so many employees feel their work is meaningless? And how can organizations create a work environment in which employees thrive? Aequitas investigates how management styles can contribute to a work environment in which employees thrive. This is investigated using structured interviews and advanced statistical methods.
By balancing research and practical applications, Aequitas helps organizations link economic growth to social value.
