The Graduate School Awards for PhD Excellence are yearly awarded to further stimulate and reward PhD research. This year the Graduate School received 80 submissions from its seven participating faculties and institutes.
In addition to the winning poster, paper, article and thesis categories, this year four more categories were introduced: PhD-Colleague of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Graduate School Teacher of the Year and Best Impact. The evening was hosted by prof. dr. Liesbet van Zoonen and started with a presentation on E-learnings by dr. Fadi Hirzalla & dr. Joran Jongerling. The awards were presented by Marjolein Kooistra, Luis Artavia-Mora Msc., prof. dr. Inge Hutter, and drs. Jan Nagtzaam.
We are very proud of Dr. Sanne Opree and congratulate her for winning the Award for Graduate School Teacher of the Year 2018 for her PhD-workshop Professionalism and Research Integrity.
