Marc Verboord is one of the two new co-editors of Poetics: Journal of Empirical Research on Culture, the Media and the Arts.
Poetics is an interdisciplinary journal for empirical research on culture, the media and the arts. Since 1991, when Dr. Kees van Rees took over the editorship, Poetics has become a leading journal for scholars in the sociology of culture, psychology and the arts, and media research. In 2009, the journal received an impact factor and it was included in the social science citation index. For the year 2013, Poetics was ranked number 17 among Sociology journals in the index. Between 2010 and 2012 Susanne Janssen served as editor-in-chief (with Timothy Dowd).
