Springer quota for open access publications has been reached

Coins in Jar

Note: The 2023 maximum for free of charge open access publishing in Springer journals has been reached.

If your manuscript has been accepted by Springer, they will still offer to publish your article Open Access, but the costs will no longer be covered by the consortium agreement and you will receive an invoice. Authors who want to share their Springer article in open access, without having to pay publication costs, are advised to contact the Open Access Team of the Library for alternative open access options.

The current contract with Springer will most likely be renewed in 2024. Manuscripts that are approved in January 2024 or later will fall under the renewed deal.
