Biography
Robert is a Senior Research Fellow at the Erasmus Commodity and Trade Centre (ECTC), specializing in global food security, agri-food supply chain resilience, and carbon markets. He has lectured at Singapore Management University, Rotterdam School of Management, and for ECTC. Previously, Robert was Cargill's global sustainability leader for agriculture and Head of Environmental Markets. He also directed global trading for its edible oils business and served as the Managing Director for Cargill's oilseeds crush assets in EMEA. From 2007 to 2012, he subsequently led the company's oilseeds and energy trading across Asia, and earlier managed oilseeds crush and animal feed activities in Benelux. He has served on the boards of TractTM , the Land Innovation Fund and The Netherlands Oils and Fats Industry (MVO), and currently advises ag-tech ventures. He holds a master's in economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. |
