On May 31 2024, Britt Swartjes will defend her PhD ‘Making (a) Difference: a sociological account of music festival work and production’. After the defense, we are organizing a symposium: ‘Moving forward: the future of diversity and inclusion in events’.
The event will take place from 14:00 till 16:30 (followed by drinks), in Langeveld 1.14. Prof. Rebecca Finkel (Queen Margaret University Edinburgh) and Prof. Jo Haynes (University of Bristol) will be giving a talk, followed by two panel discussions. This symposium is organized by Britt Swartjes, Karen Kleinhout and Yosha Wijngaarden (ERMeCHS research cluster Music, Industry, Culture & Society (MICS)
