Below is a brief summary of the dissertation:
This dissertation takes a fresh look at how we keep communities safe by highlighting two key ideas: including everyone who has a stake in safety decisions, and building trust between individuals and organizations. Drawing on real-world data, detailed examples, and a review of past studies, the research shows that making public safety work well means involving a wide range of groups—such as government offices, businesses, nonprofits, universities, and ordinary citizens—and that trust is what really makes these partnerships successful.
