Assistant professor Mariangela Lavanga believes her master’s students taking the seminar "Economics of Fashion, Design and Architecture" could be the ones who point fashion in a whole new direction.
Together with Jelle Stienstra, Lavanga developed the design-thinking workshop “Next generation sustainable fashion shopping”, in order to explore how qualities of retail, e-commerce and next shopping experiences (including VR, AR and AI) can be exploited to market sustainable fashion. They both aimed at nuancing technological development by making design more human-centred.
