In November 2019, Prof. dr. Maria Grever has reached her formal retirement age. Since October 2000, she has been affiliated with ESHCC for a period of 19 years and during this period she played a crucial role in the development of our History Department.
ESHCC is thankful for all of Maria’s efforts to maintain and increase the quality of our educational and research efforts in the field of History. A farewell symposium is scheduled for 15 May 2020.
On request of ESHCC, Maria is willing to stay on for an additional period of four months (until April 1st, 2020) as full professor in History. During this period she will be in charge as head of the History department of ESHCC until the beginning of February and will be responsible for all necessary preparations for the research assessment of our research program in History, which will take place in March 2020.
In the course of January 2020, the Dean, Prof. dr. Frank van der Duijn Schouten will provide more information about the way in which the succession of Maria in her various responsibilities will be dealt with.
