What do we know about incomes of those working in the creative sectors in the Netherlands? That they are generally low, lower than incomes in other sectors. This was the case before the pandemic, during the pandemic, and will probably remain so after the pandemic. Incomes have been monitored for some time, but rarely explained. Researchers at Erasmus University Rotterdam and VU University Amsterdam ventured to unravel this complex puzzle, with the help of funding from the Gak Institute. The results of this research have now been bundled in the publication 'Incomes and earning power in the creative sector in the Netherlands'.
