ERMeCHS is governed by the Research Management Board (RMB). The Vice Dean of Research serves as both a member and the Chair of this independent board. Additionally, the RMB consists of the Research Programme Directors, three researchers from the faculty who hold positions at assistant or associate professor levels and one PhD candidate. Everyday management is the responsibility of the Vice Dean of Research and the Senior Research Policy Officer. Support is offered by the Research Office.
The tasks of the RMB are:
- Advising the Vice Dean of Research on the governance of the research institute ERMeCHS.
- Promoting and ensuring the quality of faculty research.
- Shaping and monitoring faculty research policies.
- Preparing and formulating self-evaluations for external research evaluations.
- Following up on recommendations from external research evaluations.
