Local Research Networks and Collaborations

ERMeCC members actively participate in the Erasmus Initiative Vital Cities and Citizens (VCC), the LDE Centre for Bold Cities, the Community for Learning and Innovation (CLI), the Erasmus Migration and Diversity network (EMDI) and Erasmus University’s sustainability agenda in research and education.

Our members are at the forefront of Creative Industries research and education at Erasmus University Rotterdam. They also play a leading role in the structural collaboration with Codarts Rotterdam and Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam as part of the Rotterdam Arts and Sciences Lab (RASL)

ERMeCC collaborates with Dutch national research schools – notably the Research School for Media Studies - and the local Erasmus Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences. These schools provide regular training for our PhD candidates. Various staff members also participate as guest lecturers and teachers in the training programmes, and as board members or advisers.
