Secure Hospitals

The SecureHospitals.eu project aims to raise awareness on cybersecurity risks and to improve digital skills of personnel in healthcare settings. EUR’s role is specifically focused on gathering and synthesizing existing (best) practices in relation to cybersecurity within hospitals and healthcare organisations. It will use this collected knowledge to develop innovative training solutions, such as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and related materials in order to boost training initiatives in healthcare cybersecurity across Europe.

The training modules and materials that EUR will help to create will be made accessible through an open access Online Information Hub develop by the project coordinators, Interspread Trainers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders will be able to use this Hub to continue to contribute to the knowledge and training initiatives even after completion of this two-year project.

Together with partners from Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Luxembourg, the team in the Media and Communication department of Erasmus University will create innovative training solutions to improve cybersecurity in healthcare organizations. The project started in December 2018 and will run until the end of January 2020.
