Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication and Culture (ERMeCC)
ERMeCC is a research centre located within the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Researchers at ERMeCC carry out interdisciplinary research in the field of media, communication and culture. ERMeCC's mission is to operate as an international, national and local centre of expertise for high-quality research into the myriad relationships between media, society, culture, and business.
In her book ‘love in times of Tinder’ dr. Elisabeth Timmermans examines how dating apps and social media have changed our courtship patterns and intimate relationships over the years.
