Getting to Rotterdam

Transport from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus:

To get from Schiphol Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein campus take the Intercity Direct train to Rotterdam Centraal. The train takes approximately 20 minutes to arrive in Rotterdam and tickets can be bought at the station. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Centraal exit the station in the direction of the city centre. There will be a number of tram stops to your left. Take either Tram 21 or 24 from platform C in the direction De Esch and get off at either Oude Plantage or Woudestein, tickets can be purchased on the tram. From there it is a three-minute walk to the university campus.

Transport from Rotterdam-The Hague Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus:

To get from Rotterdam Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus walk outside of the airport and take a left to the bus stop. Take Bus 33 in the direction of Rotterdam Centraal Station, tickets can be purchased on the bus. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Centraal walk towards the station, through and out the opposite side towards the tram stops. Take either Tram 21 or 24 from platform C in the direction De Esch and get off at either Oude Plantage or Woudestein. From there it is a three-minute walk to the campus.

Transport from Eindhoven Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus:

To get from Eindhoven Airport to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus walk outside of the airport to the bus stop and take Bus 401 to Eindhoven Station, a trip of approximately 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. From Eindhoven station take the train to Rotterdam Central. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Centraal exit the station in the direction of the city centre. There will be a number of tram stops to your left. Take either Tram 21 or 24 from platform C in the direction De Esch and get off at either Oude Plantage or Woudestein, tickets can be purchased on the tram. From there it is a three-minute walk to the university campus.

Transport from Rotterdam Centraal Station to Erasmus University Woudestein Campus:

To reach the campus from Rotterdam Centraal Station take either Tram 21 or 24 from platform C in the direction De Esch and get off at either Oude Plantage or Woudestein. From there it is a three-minute walk to the campus.

Getting around in Rotterdam

From Rotterdam Centraal you can walk to the centre of the city in 5 minutes. The public transport system in Rotterdam includes train, tram, metro and bus. It is also possible to rent a bike or take a taxi or water taxi from at a variety of locations across the city.

There are numerous accommodations in Rotterdam, as can be found on webpages as Booking or Trivago. A couple of our suggestions:

Novotel Rotterdam Brainpark
Within only a few hundred meters of our University campus. Rates vary from 70-150 euro per night.

Hotel New York
For a stay in the former office building of the historic Holland America Lines. This Hotel will also be the décor of the dinner planned on the 26st of May. Check their website for the up-to-date rates.

Hotel Savoy Rotterdam
95 euros per night excluding breakfast and 110 euros including breakfast (city taxes excluded).

The Erasmus University Campus

The conference will be held in at the M-building (Van der Goot) at the Erasmus University, campus Woudestein. Visiting address: Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, 3062 PA Rotterdam.
