How do we prepare students not only with academic skills and knowledge, but also with the self-awareness, emotional skills, and resilience needed to thrive in professional (healthcare) practice?

In this CLI Lunch & Learn, dr. Marianne Littel (ESSB) will introduce the minor Know Thyself: Mindfulness for Professionals - a hands-on and research-based course designed to strengthen students’ self-awareness, attention, compassion, and emotion regulation skills as part of their professional development. The minor was developed as part of a CLI Fellowship.

During this interactive session, you will:
• Learn what mindfulness is and how it works
• Experience short mindfulness practices
• Explore how mindfulness supports professional effectiveness and healthy caregiving
• Get a first glimpse of student evaluations and research findings

Join us for a mindful lunch break - and leave with some practical tools to bring into your daily life and professional context!
