UDQ, UTQ, BEQ, SUTQ, SEQ, LEC
On this page you can find the qualification courses for teachers of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR): University Teaching Qualification (UTQ), Senior University Teaching Qualification (SUTQ), Leadership in Education Course (LEC), Basic Examiner Qualification (BEQ), Senior Examiner Qualification (SEQ), and University Delivery Qualification (UDQ). After completing a course, the lecturer is awarded a certificate and registration in the EUR HR system. The structural qualification programs are: UTQ, SUTQ and LEC. A BEQ can also be obtained by following a few specific Microlabs.
Funding
Do you want to obtain a teaching qualification? Then please discuss this with your supervisor. EUR faculties usually, under certain conditions, cover the costs for the University Delivery Qualification (UDQ, partial certificate UTQ) and/or the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ). This ensures that their teachers are qualified to teach university courses.
Follow-up courses, such as the SUTQ, SEQ, and LEQ, as well as the Basic Examiner Qualification (BEQ), MicroLabs, and webinars (both independently and as part of the UDQ and UTQ), are funded by the CLI to further stimulate educational innovation and improve teaching quality. Faculties are expected to provide their lecturers with the opportunity and time to participate in these trainings. Any additional costs will also be the responsibility of the faculties.
