On behalf of the History Department, Robbert-Jan Adriaansen organizes the 5th National History Education Conference together with VGN, the Dutch History Teachers Association on March 15.
This year VGN also celebrates its 60th anniversary, which makes the conference an extra special event. The conference will be organized in Slot Loevestein, an important site in Dutch national history, and the programme consists of a plenary part which discusses past and future challenges of history education, and an afternoon part with workshops on innovative didactic approaches to teaching history. EUR colleagues Susan Hogervorst, Pieter van den Heede, and Theo Pronk will also contribute to the conference with a workshop.
