Bloomsbury History: Theory and Methods Named One of Library Journal's best Reference Databases of 2022

Various ESHCC staff members have contributed to Bloomsbury History: Theory and Methods (BHTM), an online educational resource dedicated to historiography and historical theory and methods.

We are thrilled to announce that BHTM has been recognised as one of Library Journal's best reference databases of 2022. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the editorial team, that includes prof.dr. Maria Grever from Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC).

BHTM offers a comprehensive and global approach to historiography and historical theory. The resource features texts on a wide range of texts on key thinkers, key concepts, methods, and essays on topical issues in historical theory. It is a valuable resource for both teaching and research.

In this large resource, eight staff members of the ESHCC History department contributed with texts on, for instance, diaspora, experience, historical culture, immersive history, narrative templates, pleasurescapes: Robbert-Jan Adriaansen, Vincent Baptist, Ralf Futselaar, Maria Grever, Pieter van den Heede, Paul van de Laar, Gijsbert Oonk, and Tina van der Vlies.
