Bregje van Eekelen receives Delft Technology Fellowship

Bregje van Eekelen

Bregje van Eekelen has been awarded a Delft Technology Fellowship. This fellowship from the TU Delft creates high-profile positions for leading female scientists. Fellows can give their own interpretation to their chair, and receive a start-up grant to establish their own research program.

Bregje van Eekelen has recently been appointed full professor at Delft University of Technology. Starting October 1st, she will hold the chair Design, Culture and Society at the Department of Industrial Design.

History of creative thinking

Dr. van Eekelen (Ph.D. University of California, Santa Cruz) is currently a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (USA).  She works at the School for Social Science on her research project "Brainstorms: A Cultural History of Undisciplined Thought", in which she traces the twentieth century history of creative thinking in military and industrial settings.

Van Eekelen's work at ESHCC

At ESHCC Dr. van Eekelen is a senior researcher History of Social and Human Sciences. She is a founding member of the Erasmus Institute for Public Knowledge and co-chair of Young Erasmus Academy.
