Career speed dating with ESHCC alumni

Building the Future Together
Alumnus talking to student in Langeveld building
One on one conversation between alumnus and student during career speed date event

On Thursday 23 March, 8 alumni and current master students from Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC) came together to connect and talk about life after ESHCC. We look back on a successful career speed dating event.

The event was a unique opportunity for current students to talk to professionals from the field, who have once also studied at ESHCC. Through 6 short speed date sessions, students asked the alumni from our faculty about their career orientation, career path and employment opportunities: how they found out what they wanted to do after their studies, how they ended up in their position, how they built their confidence and so on.

For alumni it was a great opportunity to network too, as our master students are in the final stage of writing their thesis and are preparing themselves for entering the job market soon.

A big thank you to ESHCC alumni Anano Shalamberidze, Billy Kuo, Eva Lemstra, Marco Aperti, Natalia Khozyainova, Parnian Ajami and Steve Wang for their inspiring conversations and for answering the student’s questions as personal and thorough as possible.
