For the large research project GAMPSISS, (GAmeful Music Performances for Smart, Inclusive, and Sustainable Societies) on the perception and later gamification of classical music concerts we are studying listening experiences.
For this subproject, we want to understand how people discover pieces of music and how their perception and emotion changes with repeated listening and context. We want to do so by working with the innovate method of listening diaries. Participating in this study will imply to conduct a pre- interview about your music listening habits and preferences. Then you will receive a piece of music and are invited to listing to it on different days and moods of your choosing. You will be asked to keep a listening diary and be interviewed after your repeated listening experience. You do not have to be a music-expert or aficionado to participate, diversity in preferences and experience are very much welcome.
Participants can receive € 25,00 for their efforts.
