Poetics Global Art Markets

Poetics, the interdisciplinary journal on culture, media and the arts, has published a special issue on Global art markets. The special issue is edited by Prof. Dr. Olav Velthuis (Sociology, University of Amsterdam) and Dr. Amanda Brandellero, Assistant Professor in the Arts and Culture department, and member of ERMeCC.

The special brings together a selection of papers presented at the 2016 conference The Art Market in a Global Perspective, which was the final conference of a cross-comparative research project on the rise of markets for contemporary art in Brazil, Russia, India and China, run by Prof. Velthuis and with Dr. Brandellero as post-doc researcher.

Co-editor-in-chief of Poetics is Dr. Marc Verboord, associate professor in the Media & Communication department. The latest impact factor of Poetics in the Journal Citation Report was 1.649.
