Since 2019, Richard Velthuizen has been conducting doctoral research on modern Dutch shipbuilding after 1983.

Nikki Sikkema (1997) is a PhD candidate at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication. Her research is part of The Man in the Port project.

Frits Loomeijer (1953) is an external PhD-candidate who researches the Dutch fishing industry in the 20th century.
