Living in a dynamic, multicultural city as Rotterdam makes studying in an international environment even more interesting than it already is.

Student IBCoM

"Before I started IBCoM at Erasmus University Rotterdam, I lived in Argentina for a year. That year changed my life completely and made me realise how much the world has to offer. Hence, my decision to start studying something internationally oriented."

Dynamic and multicultural

"And which city in the Netherlands would fulfil this desire better than Rotterdam? Living in a dynamic, multicultural city as Rotterdam makes studying in an international environment even more interesting than it already is, and motivates one to work hard in order to pursue a career in an international environment as well. Moreover, the multicultural atmosphere present at campus gives students an insight into different cultures and in communicating with people from all over the world."

Lots of opportunities

"IBCoM is a three-year study. In the first year, one will follow many courses, all connected to communication and media in some way. In the second year, students get the opportunity to do an internship either somewhere in the Netherlands, or abroad. In the end of the final year, one can decide to go on an exchange somewhere in another country. Hence, many opportunities to apply the theory studied in the lectures, not solely in the Netherlands, but throughout the entire world. IBCoM has challenged me to work hard and independently, but has rewarded me with experiences and knowledge I will be grateful for my entire life."
