Artificial intelligence is changing our society and the way we think about responsibility, justice, and human autonomy. How can we remain critical when technology also influences our own standards of judgement? How can we ensure that human dignity remains central as artificial intelligence transforms our society?
As a PhD candidate at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Marlon Kruizinga researches the ethical aspects of AI in public safety. His latest research focuses on the use of AI in cameras. It examines, at a local level and within specific communities, which ethical questions arise and how different stakeholders view them.
During this GenAI Monthly Meetup, Marlon will guide us through this research as we discuss questions such as: who is responsible for decisions made with the help of AI? Who should have a say in how this technology is used? And how can we keep human dignity at the centre?

About the GenAI Monthly Meetups
GenAI offers amazing opportunities, but also brings along some tough challenges. Instead of working on GenAI by yourself, join a group of curious, collaborative, and friendly fellow EUR GenAI enthusiasts—students, teachers, and staff—for knowledge sharing and hands-on practice.
Collaboration: Connect with like-minded individuals to share successes, tackle challenges and brainstorm solutions in a supportive environment.
Guest speakers: Occasionally we will invite guest speakers who will share the latest insights, practical applications, and future trends in Generative AI.
Flexible Participation: No obligations! Attend at your convenience and engage with us when your schedule allows.
