Dr. Vidhi Chaudhri publishes new research and shares expertise at international symposium

Dr. Vidhi Chaudhri has recently contributed to advancing scholarship and public dialogue in the fields of corporate social responsibility (CSR), crisis management and public relations studies through a series of new publications and an invited symposium talk.

Journal Articles

Chaudhri has co-authored two open-access journal articles that position NGOs (non-government organisations) as central stakeholders in CSR. The first examines NGO-business partnerships, analysing their impact, inherent tensions, challenges, and facilitators. With such collaborations projected to grow exponentially, the study explores how NGOs understand and articulate “impact” across diverse partnership models.

The second article moves beyond traditional binaries of NGOs as corporate critics or partners to highlight the strategic communication practices NGOs deploy to influence CSR institutionalisation. The research underscores how NGOs employ a constellation of practices to shape corporate responsibility in contested spaces.

Book Chapters

In addition to the journal articles, Dr. Chaudhri has co-authored two forthcoming book chapters. In Chaudhri & Kaul the authors analyse Johnson & Johnson’s baby talc crisis in India through a socio-cultural lens, revealing how multinational corporations can evade accountability in developing countries.

In Kaul & Chaudhri (2025), the authors trace the evolution of purpose-driven campaigns by leading Indian and global businesses, offering insights into the shifting landscape of public relations.
