Students Meet Alumni 2026

The degrees Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) offers are multidisciplinary: after your studies there are many directions you can go in. Do you know which industries you could work in and which jobs might be available for you? Or are you already aware of the possibilities out there, but find it hard to make up your mind?

Especially for ESHPM students we are organising an afternoon where we've invited alumni from our School from a variety of different fields to tell their stories. The alumni are working at, among others, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Maasstad Ziekenhuis, UCB (pharmaceutical industry), and Monvel UG (consultancy). Career Services will also be present to give you advice on how to make a decision (regarding your future): how do you choose something that suits you? Would you like to be inspired? Sign up now!  

  • What: presentations by ESHPM alumni, the possibility to get to know alumni, followed by an informal drinks reception 
  • Who: both bachelor's and master's students (NL/EN)

The afternoon will consist of different rounds for which you'll be able to sign up shortly. We will end the afternoon with some drinks and snacks, during which you can continue the conversation with the alumni present.  

Please note: a variety of both Dutch and English sessions will be available. In the registration form you can see which sessions are in Dutch (NL) or English (EN).

Pharmaceutical Industry 

  • Christiaan Veraart did his master HEPL at ESHPM and graduated in 2006. He has worked at different pharmaceutical companies over de years: at Eli Lilly Nederland, Roche the Netherlands, Merck and now he works at UCB as Market Access Lead The Netherlands.

Health Technology / Health IT

  • Yvette Sol completed a bachelor's in Clinical Technology, after which she completed HCM in 2023. She works as an Advisor Healthcare & Implementation at Momo Medical, where she works with healthcare technology that benefits elderly care. 
  • Janou Kempkes started out her studies at EUR in the realm of law. After a bachelor's and two law-related master's degrees, she also completed HEPL in 2021. She currently works at Z-index as a Product Manager Legislation and Regulations. In this role, her expertise in both law and the health care industry come together.

Hospitals

  • Marloes Monster completed both her bachelor's and master's degree (HCM) at ESHPM. During her studies, she was active as an Ambassador, participant in SHARE and a member of the ESHPM Council. After graduating in 2023, she has had several different roles. Currently, she is a Policy Advisor at Maasstad Ziekenhuis.

PhD

  • Sinaï Francisco Dias completed her bachelor's degree and the European Master in Health Economics and Management (Eu-HEM) at ESHPM. In 2025, she continued her academic pursuits by way of a PhD at ESHPM, for which she studies health economic modelling in relation to infectious disease control. 

Career Services: How to make career choices

  • How do you make choices? Life is full of choices, smaller and bigger ones. Making choices for your future is definitely one of the bigger ones and can be a challenge. Mervyn Nankoe from Career Services will bring us along in the process of making decisions and will share some practical tips on how to make a good choice.

Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS)

  • Nils de Haan followed up his master's in Health Economics, Policy & Law in 2021 with a master's in Biomedical Engineering at TU Delft. In 2025, he started out as a Trainee at the Ministry of VWS - a position for which he works as a Policy Worker.

Consultancy

  • Denise Hradecky completed her master's in Health Care Management in 2010. Since then, she has worked in a variety of roles in both the Netherlands and Germany. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Monvel UG in Stuttgart, Germany.
