During this CLI Lunch & Learn, you will learn more about the interesting educational innovations and research taking place at Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and beyond. During this edition, dr. Dimitrios Tsekouras (RSM) en dr. Tayfun Kucukyilmaz (RSM) will talk about the use of generative AI (GenAI) for the development of adaptive teaching.

Curious to discover how GenAI can enhance adaptive and personalised learning? In this CLI Lunch & Learn, dr. Dimitrios Tsekouras (RSM) and dr. Tayfun Kucukyilmaz (RSM) will introduce their (research) project 'Adaptive Courses with AI'. They will discuss the potential of GenAI to enhance both instructional design and student learning outcomes through efficient and targeted content adaptation. They also explore the use of GenAI tools (e.g. LLMs) to create adaptive courses and other teaching materials, such as on-demand lecture variants.

    Dr. Dimitrios Tsekouras
    Dr. Dimitrios Tsekouras is an Associate Professor of Transformative Education at the Department of Technology and Operations management of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). Dimitrios is an expert in Online Personalization, Digital Strategy, (generative) AI, Business Analytics, Reputation Systems, as well as in Education Digitization.
  • Tayfun Kucukyilmaz
    Dr. Tayfun Kucukyilmaz
    Dr. Tayfun Kucukyilmaz is a lecturer at the Department of Technology and Operations management of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM). His research interests are: Web Search Engines, machine learning, parallel and distributed systems, high performance computing (HPC), and information retrieval.
