In this Lunch & Learn session, Michelle Achterberg shares the outcomes of her SUTQ (Senior University Teaching Qualification) project on the academic writing learning trajectory within the Bachelor programme in Pedagogical Sciences. Central to the session are the materials developed to make academic writing skills more accessible and recognizable for both students and lecturers, including short knowledge clips and infographics.
Michelle explains how the materials and the learning trajectory were developed, how they are used in teaching, and what the first responses from students have been. The materials will be shared during the session so that colleagues can review and use them themselves. Lecturers in Pedagogical Sciences and Psychology will receive concrete tools to use the materials in their own teaching. Colleagues from other programmes will gain insight into the approach behind the project and inspiration for developing similar, cross-programme materials to support academic writing skills.
