The terrible events that took place yesterday in a teaching building at Erasmus MC deeply shocked us all. Our thoughts are first and foremost with our late colleague, the other victims and their relatives.
We also think of all those who witnessed these events (students, staff, patients, administrators) and faced this horrific incident of violence in their daily working or living environment. A pitch-black day for the entire university.
As deans of Erasmus University Rotterdam, we want to express our support and let you know that we sympathise with you. Especially now we want to look after and be there for each other.
