ViCE research cluster focuses on the creation, distribution, and interpretation of value in the cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSIs), blending insights from economics, sociology, economic geography, critical theory, cultural and media studies, and humanities. It aims to enhance cross-disciplinary understanding and interdisciplinary research by addressing key questions like the nature of value in cultural and creative activities, the formation of value judgments, and the processes of value-making for creators and audiences. This interdisciplinary approach helps in examining value from multiple perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding across various academic disciplines.
