Dr. Pieter van Baal has been appointed as Professor of Public Health Economics, within the Health Economics section of ESHPM. With this appointment we do not only further stimulate the attention for this field, which has grown in importance over the last years, also in research and education within ESHPM, but also recognize the large contributions that dr. Pieter van Baal has made to this field.Â
As ESHPM we are therefore happy and proud that we could appoint Pieter, a nationally and internationally recognized expert in this field, to this new chair. This will also strengthen the collaboration of ESHPM in the area of Public Health Economics within and outside our university (of which you will hear more soon!). We therefore congratulate dr. Pieter van Baal with this well-deserved appointment and wish him all the best in his new role as Professor of Public Health Economics.
