The Dutch healthcare system is one of the best in the world. Everyone contributes to it, through taxes and compulsory basic insurance. So we can all - young, old, healthy or sick - count on good care when we need it. Dutch Healthcare Institute works on behalf of the government to ensure that everyone in the Netherlands has and continues to have access to good healthcare.
The Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) is the research institute of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Faculty of Beta Sciences at Utrecht University. UIPS studies drugs in five groups at multiple levels: molecular, cellular, animal model, patient and population. This leads to around 400 publications and around 30 PhD theses every year. Almost all the research is done in collaborations with other groups at universities, hospitals or companies.
