SENSE is an Erasmus+ project with a focus on social rights in transnational road transport. On 29 August, the international research and education team will present their main findings and conclusions and will also introduce the ‘LegalNavigationApp’. Keynote speakers will address the Employment law challenges in the EU road transport sector from both legal, political as practical point of view.

Speakers

  • Marek Benio is academic teacher and researcher at the Krakow University of Economics. Marek is also vice-president of the Labour Mobility Initiative Association, an association that organizes on an annual basis the European Labour Mobility Congress.

  • Zef Even is professor European Employment Law at the Erasmus School of Law, Editor in Chief of European Employment Law Cases and partner of the Rotterdam law firm SteensmaEven. Zef participated in the SENSE project.

  • Edith Franssen is lecturer at the Erasmus School of Law, obtained her PhD on the topic European Social Dialogue and is attorney at law at the law firm Loyens & Loeff.

  • Agnes Jongerius is member of the European Parliament and very much involved in transnational employment within the EU. Agnes also participates in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.

  • John Reynaert is a representative of the Belgium Transport Federation BTB-ABVV, the Belgian Transport workers' Union. John is as such very much involved in international road transport and its consequences for the Belgian transport sector.

  • Amber Zwanenburg is lecturer at the Erasmus School of Law and PhD candidate on the topic sham arrangements in EU cross-border employment law. Amber participated in the SENSE project.
