Prof. Dr Jeanne Gaakeer LLM, professor and researcher at Erasmus School of Law, has been appointed as assistant professor at The School of Law and Justice of Southern Cross University in Australia for a period of three years. Prof. Gaakeer is an expert in the field of Law and Humanities. It is this expertise that has brought about this new collaboration with Southern Cross University.
Prof. Gaakeer will share her knowledge in the field of Law and Humanities as an addition to the current body of knowledge of Southern Cross University. She will consult with researchers and doctoral candidates digitally and will in time travel to Australia to provide a series of lectures.
In addition to her position at Erasmus School of Law, prof. Gaakeer is a senior counsel at the Hague Court of Appeal. Her most recent book ‘Judging from Experience. Law, Praxis and Humanities’ was published on 1 March 2019.
