Biography
Malouke Kuiper is a legal psychologist by training. In her research, she focuses on the relationship between social scientific empirical research and law and the translation of social scientific research into criminal justice policy and compliance practice.
In her latest work, she researches the discrepancy between criminal justice policy focusing on the deterrent effect of more severe punishment, despite the lack of scientific evidence for this effect.
