The youth are our future, and our present. We actively reach out to youth in the city, enter into conversation with them, and work with them side by side to promote equal educational opportunities and talent development. Â
By tapping into the views and experiences of young people, we aim to learn about their dreams, wishes, and needs with respect to their study careers and future ambitions. Furthermore, we directly connect primary and secondary school students in the city of Rotterdam with students from our university. Through these connections, primary and secondary students get acquainted with university life and university students, learn how develop a wide range of skills, and work personal leadership.
On their side, EUR students learn about social inequalities, gain experiences based on mutual respect and relationships, learn how to work in a diverse metropolitan context, and reflect on their own position in society. Â
