Engagement

Better solutions for complex societal issues
Six hands stacked over wooden desk with open laptop and scattered papers

Today's major societal challenges are too complex for any single party to solve on their own. The energy transition, climate adaptation, and the health and housing crises all require intensive collaboration. As an engaged and active knowledge partner in society, Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) strives to connect through open innovation networks, strategic alliances and other collaborative partnerships.

Engaged University

Through our education and research, we drive and accelerate positive change in society. Together with other knowledge institutions, businesses, public authorities and civil society organisations, we develop new knowledge and work on solutions that can make a real difference in society. The Strategic Dean for Impact & Engagement is steering the transition towards an engaged university.
