Introduction

In this MicroLab you will learn how to make learning objectives, learning materials, learning activities and/or assessment more inclusive for a diverse group of students. And to do this in such a way that students, regardless of their backgrounds (e.g. nationality, ethnic background, gender, physical health, social class, previous education), feel involved and invited to fully participate in your course/module.

What will you achieve?

  • Formulating learning objectives from the perspective of diversity and inclusive education;
  • Designing learning activities from the perspective of diversity and inclusive education that are in line with your learning objectives;
  • Gathering learning materials from the perspective of diversity and inclusive education to which a diverse group of (international) students can relate to;
  • Or designing an assessment plan from the perspective of diversity and inclusive education that is in line with the learning objectives and learning activities.

Target group and required prior knowledge

This MicroLab is a course for lecturers who a) are responsible for a course/module and b) have completed their University Teaching Qualification or are familiar with the Constructive Alignment Model.

Earn an Edubadge

You finish the MicroLab with a Proof of Competence. You will then receive an Edubadge. This is a digital, visual certificate which you can share on e.g. LinkedIn. Interested parties can immediately click on the certificate to find out what you have done to achieve the EduBadge.
