PILOT COURSE | Registration deadline 16 September (opens in week 36)
Nederlands - Language & Training Centre

What will you learn in the course ‘Nederlands voor Foodies’?

Learn Dutch with your head, heart, and hands

The  pilot course Dutch for Foodies  is a unique 8-week programme that combines language learning, sustainability, and food. It has been specially designed for international students and staff who want to learn Dutch in an accessible, engaging, and inspiring way.

During this course, you will:

  • learn the basics of Dutch (towards A1 level)
  • explore current topics such as sustainability and social impact
  • prepare delicious plant-based dishes together

Each week focuses on a new theme, ranging from Dutch food culture to making sustainable choices at the supermarket. You will not only learn vocabulary and grammar but also use Dutch immediately in real-life situations—during conversations and around the kitchen table.

Practical and interactive learning

The course combines different learning methods:

  • an inspiring course book with dialogues, recipes, and exercises
  • a digital learning environment for self-study
  • a personal learning journal in which you reflect on your learning experiences

Each week you will attend:

  • an interactive language class and cooking workshop (Fridays, 10:30–14:00)
  • an additional conversation class to strengthen your speaking skills (Tuesdays, 16:30–17:30)
