Decide

Step 5 in choosing the right study programme
Prospective student at the Bachelor Open Day.

You're almost there! You're still deciding between two programmes or two educational institutions where you can start the same programme. Making a decision can sometimes be difficult.

T-model

To make that difficult decision, it is useful to organise your thoughts. A T-model is a method that can help you with this. You make a list of the pros and cons for the options you are still unsure about. You then give these pros and cons a score.

Looking back on getting to know yourself

When making your decision, it is also useful to look back at the questions you asked yourself in step 1.

What do I know?

Does this programme match my prior knowledge? Please also check the admission requirements for the programme.

What can I do?

Do I have the skills that are important for this programme?

What do I want?

Will this programme help me achieve my ultimate goal?

Who am I?

Do my character traits match the programme and career opportunities? Take another good look and use this to your advantage.

Do you feel at home here?

It is important that you make a conscious choice about your programme, but you should also consider whether you think you will feel at home there or not. After all, you will be studying there for at least three years. The best way to find out whether you will feel at home somewhere is to visit the educational institution yourself, for example during an open day. Or find out more about the city of Rotterdam. Are you ready to call this city your new home?
