ECTS Grading table

The grading table provides insight into the value of a student's grades

The grading table provides insight into the value of a student's grades and enables (international) comparisons between diplomas. Educational institutions, employers and other interested parties can see at a glance how the student has performed compared to fellow students.

Data in the grading table

The grading table can be found in the diploma supplement that is given to students as an appendix of their diploma of an entire study program. The grading table shows the distribution of the valid grades that have been given within the relevant degree program for at least the three academic years prior to the graduation year. Only valid results (passing grades and compensations) for which credits have been obtained are taken into account.

The table is updated annually and shows the rounded figures.

If a program does not meet the minimum criterion for composing the grading table (at least 500 results over the past three academic years), the choice can be made not only to include the grades of the relevant study program, but also those of other degree programs within the faculty. This happens, for example, for some new programs or programs with a little number of students. Optionally, the reference period can also be extended.
