Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management is 40 this year - and that needs to be celebrated! To mark this anniversary, based on the theme of Making Healthcare Sustainable, we are planning several festive events for and with our alumni.
Alumni dinner
You will probably have heard about the first event already – a festive anniversary dinner. The dinner, which is hosted in collaboration with alumni association ESHPMa, will be covering the anniversary theme of Making Healthcare Sustainable and will take place on 18 May at the Zalmhuis in Rotterdam.
Marco Varkevisser (Professor of Market Organisation in Healthcare at ESHPM) will be chairing this festive dinner and the evening will be opened by Maarten IJzerman (Vice-dean at ESHPM from 1 May) and Pernette Gerla (President a.i. at ESHPMa). Each dinner course will be introduced by a speaker, who will discuss Making Healthcare Sustainable from their expertise. The speakers' inspiring contributions will trigger the audience to share ideas led by a moderator.

Because of the venue's limited capacity, we initially only invited a part of our alumni. Did you not receive an invite? No worries: a second dinner will be hosted in September. More information to follow.

Students meet Alumni
On 1 July, we are organising a Students meet Alumni afternoon on campus, during which alumni will talk about their career and current job. Through this, we bring the work floor and possible career paths closer to the lecture hall by giving students the opportunity to learn about the work field from alumni. The afternoon will conclude with drinks.

Homecoming and Symposium on Healthcare Policy
Slightly later in the year, but no less important, we are planning a symposium. This will take place in the afternoon of Friday 13 October. The subject of this symposium will mainly be policy in healthcare. Prior to the symposium, we will create a special moment for alumni, certainly including a good lunch.
