From Monday 5 October until Thursday 8 October, you can attend information sessions organised by the International Office and EUR faculties. Learn more about exchanges, internships, short stays, scholarships and other opportunities abroad.
The week concludes with the Erasmus Goes Abroad Fair on Thursday 8 October. During the fair, you can attend live sessions, meet representatives at the information stands and join the A.A. van Beek Fonds scholarship lottery.
During Erasmus Goes Abroad Fair Week, you can:
- Join information sessions about scholarships, exchanges, internships, short stays and studying abroad after graduation;
- Learn more about the international opportunities offered by different EUR faculties;
- Meet advisors, faculty representatives and scholarship experts who can answer your questions;
- Hear first-hand experiences and practical advice from students who have studied or completed an internship abroad;
- Learn about the support available to students with disability or additional support needs;
- Visit information stands during the main fair day;
- Join the A.A. van Beek Fonds scholarship lottery for a chance to win €1,500, €1,000 or €500.

10.00 - 11.00 | Should I stay or should I go

Are you interested in studying or completing an internship abroad but you’re unsure whether it is the right choice for you? This session will cover the different factors you may need to consider before making your decision.
Representatives from the International Office and teams specializing in studying with a disability, student wellbeing, finances and immigration will provide practical information and answer questions.
14.00 - 15.00 | Short stay session

Going abroad does not always mean spending an entire semester in another country. During this session, you will learn more about short-term international opportunities available to EUR students.
The session will explain what short stays can involve, who they are suitable for and how you can start preparing for one.
16.00 - 18.00 | Scholarships & Grants (including making a budget plan)

Would you like to go abroad and are you curious about how you can finance your experience? This session will introduce you to the scholarships and grants available for studying or completing an internship abroad.
You will also receive practical advice on creating a budget and, preparing financially for your time abroad.

A.A. van Beekfonds
The A.A. van Beekfonds aims to promote scientific education at Erasmus University Rotterdam and provides financial support for students going on an exchange or internship abroad.
VSB fonds beurs
The VSB fons beurs is intended for full-time students of Dutch nationality graduating from Erasmus University, and offers them the opportunity to pursue further studies at a renowned institution abroad.
Cultuurfonds Beurs
The Cultuurfonds Beurs is a scholarship for talented Dutch students graduating from Erasmus University, enabling them to pursue further studies or research at a renowned institution abroad.
Fulbright

British Council - The British Council will be present to provide information about studying in the UK.
British Language Training Centre - Do you wish to improve your English? BLTC can help! With 40 years of experience, BLTC provides effective communicative General English courses at its centre in the heart of Amsterdam and in schools and businesses throughout the Netherlands. They offer IELTS preparation courses. These courses will help you prepare for the IELTS exam and reach the IELTS score you need.

17.00-17.30 | A.A. van Beek Fonds Scholarship Lottery

The A.A. van Beek Fonds will provide three scholarships to EUR students who are planning to go abroad for a study exchange or internship.
You can obtain a lottery ticket during the earlier sessions of the EGAW and during the fair itself. Complete the ticket and hand it in at the A.A. van Beek Fonds stand during the fair.
Join the lottery draw at the end of the fair for a chance to win one of the following prizes:
- First prize: €1,500
- Second prize: €1,000
- Third prize: €500
Rules for participating in the lottery
- First-year bachelor’s students cannot participate in the lottery.
- You must be present during the draw from 17.00 to 17.30. If your name is called and you are not present, your ticket will be discarded.
- You may submit only one ticket. Submitting multiple tickets will lead to disqualification.
- To participate, you must complete the Erasmus Goes Abroad Fair survey using the QR code provided on your lottery ticket.
Conditions for receiving the scholarship
- The A.A. van Beek Scholarship is intended for a study exchange or internship abroad, excluding countries where Dutch is the local language.
- Winners must meet the requirements of the A.A. van Beek Fonds.
- Eligibility for the Dutch supplementary grant from DUO is not required for this lottery.
