The international conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels (TAFF), hosted by the Governments of the Netherlands and Colombia in Santa Marta in April 2026, marked an important moment in global climate diplomacy and renewed international discussions on pathways toward a just and equitable transition away from fossil fuels.
Building on these conversations, this event brings together policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations, advocates and practitioners to reflect on the outcomes of Santa Marta and explore next steps toward COP31 and beyond.
The event aims to foster cross-sector dialogue, strengthen collaboration and contribute to ongoing international conversations on fossil fuel transition and climate justice.
