Prof. Ellen Hey teaches International Enviromental Law for UN programme
On Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 of February, Prof. dr. Ellen Hey taught International Environmental Law as part of the month-long ‘United Nations Regional Course in International Law’. The course was organised by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs within the premises of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
The course is annually held at ECA headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The course was attended by thirty practitioners of international law, as well as academics who teach and research international law in the African region.
The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) was established in 1958 as one of the UN’s five regional commissions. Goal of ECA is to promote the socio-economical development of its member states, foster intra-regional integration and promote international cooperation for Africa's development. ECA currently has 54 member states.
