Prof. Reinout Kok has been appointed professor of Corporation Tax

Prof. Reinout Kok has been appointed professor (0.2 FTE) in the Corporation Tax Chair within the Tax Law section with effect from 1 June 2018. Prof. Kok shares this chair with Prof. Hans van Sonderen.

Corporation tax is a tax in motion and has been the focus of public and political attention in recent years. His field of study focuses on the entire corporation tax, with a special focus on the corporation of multinational companies, including the impact of Union law and international (tax) law on business operations and on the complex tax treatment of multinationals.

Prof. Kok pays special attention to group regulations, anti-abuse regulations and the implementation of EU directives in Dutch corporation tax legislation.

Prof. Kok obtained his PhD in 2005 with the thesis The fiscal unity in corporation tax at our faculty. In addition, Prof. Kok has been appointed since 2013 to the special chair Taxation of multinational companies in a globalizing world (0.2 FTE), also within the Tax Law section. Prof. Kok also works as a partner at EY (formerly Ernst & Young).
