The EU funded IDEA-net project, managed by IDEA Center of Erasmus University Rotterdam, has come to an end in August 2025. Results of this project are, amongst others, 60 good practices on IDEA topics, the guideline Nine Steps for Setting Up an IDEA Office, and capacity building sessions at universities in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia. The assessment of the final report of this European project resulted in a score of 80/100 points.
IDEA Center of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) was the coordinator of this international project, funded by Erasmus+. Seven international partners joined forces in IDEA-net: EUR, Knowledge Innovation Centre (Malta), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), University College Dublin (Ireland), Stichting ECHO Expertisecentrum Diversiteitsbeleid (the Netherlands), University of Belgrade (Serbia) and the University of Zadar (Croatia).
In the past three years, these international partners collected more than 60 good practices worldwide, created guidelines on how to establish an IDEA office, and facilitated three tailored capacity building sessions in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, amid the political protests and closing of the university buildings in the last one.
Furthermore, the IDEA-net project offered seven webinars, a podcast, and newsletters, and presented the project at several European conferences. All of these, while creating and managing a community of practice with over 100 people working on or interested in IDEA topics.
The final report was sent in September 2025 and the final assessment just arrived: the project has been assessed with a score of 80/100 points. Among the evaluators’ comments were: “the project delivered very well on its promises” and “all indicators appeared to be achieved, and some indicators even achieved a better result than expected”.
While the project is over, its outcomes and materials are still available. Curious about it? Please have a look on the IDEA-net website: www.idea-net.eu.
